Our team of experts is dedicated to every aspect of the process, from land acquisition and development to sales and closing.
Who We Are
Our founders, Mark and Will Adkins, have a shared passion for real estate and a commitment to quality. Born and raised in West Virginia, they began their careers in the industry, working together at a successful land company. In 1994, they decided to form their own company, The Waterfront Group, with the goal of creating premier properties in well-appointed and stable communities.

Our Process
From acquisition and development to sales and post-sale coordination, The Waterfront Group handles everything in-house. Our expert acquisition team search for the most stunning properties, often directly from the banking and development industries. Our dedicated sales staff and seasoned closing coordinators take clients through the sales process, complete with a General Warranty Deed and a title insurance policy for advance review with their attorney.
What We Do
We specialize in premier properties in North Carolina, West Virginia, and Tennessee, offering custom homes, cabin retreats, and homesites throughout the mountains. Many of our communities offer Discovery Packages, giving clients the opportunity to experience amenities, lifestyle, and local culture. We also offer IRA and land purchase options, allowing clients to invest in their dream properties.
Our Impact

Outside of the office, our founders are involved in various charity work, including supporting animal rescue organizations and contributing to Camp New Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides a safe and welcoming environment for families with children with life-threatening medical conditions.
