Our founder, Joseph Nazaire Boufford, was born in the Province of Quebec in 1866 and later immigrated to Somersworth, New Hampshire with his wife Clara Talbot Boufford. In 1904, he established the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, changing the way people thought about funeral service by providing a dedicated space for families to gather and pay their respects.
