Meet Our Chiropractor: Dr. Brett Henson
Dr. Brett Henson, a native of Boone, NC, received her B.S. in Nutrition Science from N.C. State with a Minor in Psychology. Her personal experience with the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care following a childhood injury inspired her to pursue a career as a chiropractor. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2017. Dr. Henson is passionate about nutrition and healthy eating and believes that proper nutrition and exercise are vital to good health. She offers one-on-one functional nutrition testing and coaching in her office utilizing the patented blood analysis system, Science Based Nutrition.
Dr. Henson has extensive training in chiropractic care for pregnant women, infants, and children. She is Webster technique certified, a specific sacral adjustment to help facilitate the mother's pelvic alignment and nervous system function, which may offer a greater potential for optimal fetal positioning at birth. Dr. Henson is Advanced Certified in Activator Technique, a gentle and low-force chiropractic method that uses a hand-held instrument to deliver a precise impulse to the spine, restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebrae or joint.

Staff Behavior and Treatment
The staff at the medical office have been criticized for their attitude and behavior towards patients. In one instance, a nurse refused to help a patient who was using a walker, making them sit outside on a bench to fill out paperwork and not offering assistance. The nurse also failed to help the patient up the curb, instead telling them to walk down the block to come up the sidewalk.
Office Practices and Procedures
The office's practices and procedures have also been questioned. The office takes patients' temperatures twice, once outside in an unsanitized environment and again 5 minutes later, which is deemed unnecessary and poor healthcare. Additionally, the office's hours of operation are inconsistent, with some patients reporting that they are open before the stated hours online.

On the other hand, some patients have reported positive experiences with the office. Dr. Henson has been praised for being thorough, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The staff have also been commended for being friendly and helpful, and the facility has been described as clean and well laid out.
