A few reviews highlighted serious concerns with Astoria Construction's services. Morgan Pettis had a terrible experience with the company, rating them 1 star. They hired Astoria Construction for a large remodel, but things quickly went wrong. The owner, Dan, disappeared and left an inexperienced crew to install a load-bearing beam, which almost fell onto the floor. The crew made several poor workmanship mistakes, and Dan became aggressive about asking for more money than agreed upon. Eventually, he left the project unfinished. Morgan felt that the company's approach was hostile, incompetent, and shady. Makayla Stilwell also had a negative experience, writing that one of Astoria's company vans almost caused an accident when it pulled out in front of her car.
