At Calvary Preschool, we believe that a healthy spiritual foundation built on a relationship with Jesus produces positive impacts on physical growth, cognitive development, and social-emotional maturity. Our mission is to provide a loving, safe, and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. We are committed to the ideal of a whole-child approach, where we foster spiritual, cognitive, social, and physical development.
Our Services
We offer a variety of classes designed to meet the needs of children aged 2-5 years old. Our classes are divided as follows:
- 2-2.5 years old: This class focuses on introducing children to a school setting, fostering socialization, and developing basic motor skills.
- 3 years old: In this class, we focus on strengthening social and emotional well-being, as well as introducing basic academic concepts.
- 4 years old: Our 4-year-old class builds on the foundation laid in the previous classes, with a stronger focus on preparing children for kindergarten.
- 4.5-5 years old: This class is designed for children who have previously attended preschool and are ready for more in-depth learning.
All our classes follow a play-based curriculum, which research proves to be the most effective way for young children to learn. Our curriculum includes activities in Math, Literacy, Science, PE, Music, Art, and various centers. We believe that children learn best through play and hands-on experiences, and our teachers design lessons to meet the needs of individual students.
Our Approach
At Calvary Preschool, we integrate faith into our curriculum. We use Bible stories, music, and fun interactive lessons to help children understand God's love. Our teachers model, through prayers and songs, and remind children about God's love. We believe that a strong spiritual foundation contributes to positive social-emotional maturity and cognitive development.
We also prioritize the social and emotional aspect of development. Our small class sizes, with two loving, qualified staff in each class, allow relationships between students and teachers to blossom and grow. We understand that children learn best when they feel safe and loved, and we strive to create an environment where every child feels valued and respected.
