Nourishing the next generation, one meal at a time.

At Jeffery's Catering, we are dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals to daycare facilities and schools throughout the DC Metropolitan area. With over 30 years of experience, we take pride in our passion for food and our commitment to serving the next generation.

Our Story

Well established in our community since 1988, we started as a local Cafe and began catering to child care facilities soon after. As our business continued to grow in the child care community as well as with state and local licensing agencies, so did our reputation for both menu diversity and food quality. Our attention to detail is unmatched. Our deliveries are on time and complete with courteous drivers tending to the needs of our clients. Our food production staff is made up of qualified and certified food handlers. We use local markets to purchase farm-fresh produce whenever possible, we bake much of our own bread and use the leanest grain-fed cuts of beef and poultry. Our Registered Dietician ensures that our menus meet or exceed the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines. Our in-house Nutritionist ensures that the menus and recipes are followed and executed properly by our kitchen staff. In addition, we accommodate special dietary demands on a case-by-case basis. We offer unitized meals as an option for centers that may have time constraints or space limitations. We are committed to do our very best at keeping your children happy and healthy.

Nutrition

Our menus are carefully crafted to provide nutritionally-balanced meals that meet or exceed the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines. We take into account both USDA guidelines for CACFP meal reimbursement and "kid-friendly" foods. Our menus are low in fat, high in vitamins, and provide a dark green or bright orange vegetable three times a week. Fruits are also provided for a Vitamin A source. Vitamin C foods are offered daily. The menus incorporate high complex carbohydrate and fiber. Fresh fruits and vegetables are served when possible and whole grains are used. The menus are low in sugar and the breakfast cereals follow the cereal guidelines offered by the USDA WIC Program (Women, Infants, and Children). The menus are low in sodium. Seasonings other than salt are used to enhance the flavor of the foods.
