At Purple Dragon Private Preschool, we believe that every child is unique and must grow and develop at their own pace through intellectual stimulation and social interaction. Our mission is to teach each child to value themselves and those around them, to be proud of their accomplishments, to appreciate work materials and toys, to apply their reasoning powers, to exercise self-control, and to encourage imagination through the use of puppets, music, and art materials. We strive to accomplish this mission by teaching each child discipline and the ability to reason by solving problems.
Our Story
The story of Purple Dragon Private Preschool begins with the tale of a little dragon who was born with a unique characteristic - his scales were a beautiful shade of purple. His parents were worried about their little dragon's unusual appearance and sought out various cures to change his color. However, it soon became apparent that his purple scales were a part of what made him special. One wise old owl saw the little dragon and his parents and suggested they visit the Wise Woman of the Woods. The Wise Woman of the Woods saw the little dragon and exclaimed, "A purple dragon! How wonderful!" She told the parents, "A purple dragon is just as worthy as all of the other dragons." She took the little dragon under her wing and taught him to appreciate his uniqueness and to be kind and helpful to others. The little dragon grew up to be a strong and handsome dragon, and he dedicated his life to helping others understand and appreciate their own special qualities.

Admissions
At Purple Dragon Private Preschool, we believe in giving each child the opportunity to learn and grow at their own pace. We offer a range of programs and services designed to meet the individual needs of each child. We require a mandatory, individual interview with both the parent/guardian and the child before enrollment. This interview can be scheduled with our director by contacting our primary telephone number. The purpose of the interview is to assess the child's needs, and it does not commit the parents to enroll their child in our school. The enrollment of your child in our school will only be finalized when the appropriate deposit has been made and all of the required paperwork has been completed. We are open all year round, and our school year begins at the end of August and ends in the first week of June. We offer summer enrollment for June through August.
