Discover the unifying power of art and hospitality

Welcome to Greydon House, a stylish standout among Nantucket hotels that combines classic style with historic environs. Our location in the heart of Nantucket town, just off the wharf and a stone's throw from the ferry terminal, makes us the perfect base for exploring the island's unconventional and free-spirited culture.

The Hotel

Greydon House is housed in a former sea captain's house, and our 20 unique rooms have been designed by Roman and Williams, the team behind the Ace Hotel New York and The Standard, High Line. Each room features custom-designed beds with block-printed linens by John Robshaw, lighting fixtures, and Waterworks brass fixtures. Our bathrooms boast Acqua di Parma bath products and nautical scenes on the bathroom tiles hand-painted in Portugal.

The Restaurant

Via Mare, our on-site restaurant, is inspired by the Venetian tradition of small plate dining and drinking in spirited taverns. Our eclectic menu features locally-sourced fare from the garden and sea, with an approachable, eclectic wine list and a cocktail list that emphasizes the exotic. Designed by Roman and Williams, Via Mare is a unique Nantucket restaurant that offers fine dining in a bohemian living room-cum-bar, an intimate dining room, an open-air terrace, and street-side, cafe-style seating.
