Meet the Owner
Hello! I'm Bisi Essien, a licensed cosmetologist, certified makeup artist, certified permanent makeup artist, certified lash extensions technician, beauty educator, and the creative force behind Crystal-Eyez. This journey has been an incredible adventure, from my profession as an architect, where I spent nearly a decade practicing in Chicago after receiving my Masters in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
While those skills have been invaluable, my passion eventually led me to the world of beauty, where my heart truly belongs. Over the years, I've been blessed to work with amazing celebrities like Vivica A Fox, Kelly Price, K.Michelle, and others. This journey has taken me across the globe, from the United States to exciting destinations like Dubai, Europe, the Caribbean, and of course my motherland Africa.
I've had the honor of not only enhancing the beauty of clients from all walks of life, but I've also been blessed to train and empower a vast number of Chicago's beauty professionals with the knowledge and skills to establish their own thriving businesses, so they too can make positive impacts in our community.
