Mixed Reviews for The Doty Group
Negative Experiences
The Doty Group, an accounting firm, has received mixed reviews from its clients. One client, CADSharp, had a terrible experience with Shelly Drury, an alleged incompetent and unethical valuator who provided a fictitious valuation of their business. The client claims that Drury spent only a few hours on the valuation yet charged a hefty fee of nearly $10,000. The valuation document contained filler text, copy-and-paste, and even left in the names and information of a previous client, which the client considers a breach of privacy.
Another client, Serena M., had a bad experience with the firm, citing that they made errors on their taxes twice, and when the IRS sent the corrections and charges, the firm did not apologize or take any action to remedy the situation.
Positive Experiences
On the other hand, most clients have had positive experiences with The Doty Group. Several clients have praised the firm's professionals, such as Alex Folger, Nic, Holly, and Debbie, for their knowledge, patience, responsiveness, and professionalism. These clients appreciate the firm's services, citing their reliability, fairness, and excellent communication.
