Primary Care of York is a community health center dedicated to delivering exceptional primary care, behavioral health, and preventive services. Our integrated, nurse-managed model enables us to treat the whole patient, focusing on both physical and mental wellness. Our certified Nurse Practitioners hold advanced practice degrees and possess the expertise to diagnose illness, prescribe medication, make referrals to specialists, provide pre-and post-natal care, and offer a wide variety of other primary health care services.

Primary Care Services

At Primary Care of York, we provide comprehensive primary care services to cater to the diverse needs of our patients. Our preventative care offerings include annual physical exams, birth control counseling, prescriptions, and ongoing care, as well as Pre-OP and Post-OP follow-ups. We also provide drivers license learners permits.

Our common illness services cover a wide range of conditions, such as colds, coughs, fever, flu, headaches, and various skin issues. We are experienced in managing chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease, and are equipped to handle acute injuries and emergencies.

We offer healthcare screenings and immunizations for adults and children, including tuberculosis, pregnancy, and urine tests. Our on-site COVID testing enables us to provide timely and accurate results, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and community.

Mental Wellness Services

At Primary Care of York, we understand the strong connection between mental and physical health. We offer mental wellness services to support our patients' overall well-being. We provide psychiatric evaluations, medication-assisted treatment for drugs and alcohol, and addiction medicine, utilizing medications such as Suboxone, Sublocade, Subutex, and Vivitrol.

Our dedicated staff employs a harm-reduction model when treating individuals who use drugs and alcohol, ensuring an individualized plan that is pragmatic and realistic in their lives while maintaining safety.

Accessibility and Insurance

We strive to make our services accessible to all members of the community. We accept most major insurance companies, including all Medicaid and Medicare insurances. For specific questions, please contact our office at 717-430-4443.

For those without insurance, we offer a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. We believe that high-quality healthcare should be available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.

Urgent Care and Walk-In Services

We understand that medical issues can arise unexpectedly. That's why we offer urgent care services, accepting same-day appointments whenever possible. For walk-in care, we are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2 pm to 4 pm, without an appointment.
