Where Your Smile is EVERYTHING
At Peninsula Pediatric Dentistry, we understand that every child is unique and special. As a pediatric dentist, we are dedicated to providing a fun and welcoming environment where your child can receive the dental care they need. Our practice is designed to make your child's first dental visit a positive and enjoyable experience, setting the stage for a lifetime of good oral health habits.
Our Practice
Our practice is led by Dr. Rob McAlpine, a pediatric dentist who has a passion for working with children. Dr. McAlpine received his undergraduate degree from Montana State University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Oregon Health and Science University. He then went on to complete specialized training in pediatric dentistry through Lutheran Medical Center.
In addition to Dr. McAlpine, our practice is staffed by a team of experienced and caring dental professionals. Amy Dale, our dental assistant, has been working in the dental field since 2004 and has a special talent for working with pediatric patients. Becca Atkins, our Jr. Dental Assistant, is the daughter of Dr. McAlpine and brings a youthful energy to our practice. Crystal Hodo, our expanded function registered dental assistant, has an associate degree in early childhood development and is dedicated to providing quality care in a fun environment.
Our Services
At Peninsula Pediatric Dentistry, our services are designed to meet the unique needs of children. We provide both preventive and therapeutic dental care for infants, children, and adolescents. Our services include routine cleanings, fillings, and extractions, as well as more complex procedures such as crowns and bridges. We also offer sedation dentistry, which allows anxious children to relax during their dental treatments.
In addition to our general dental services, we also provide special services tailored to the needs of children. These services include:
- In-office pediatric sedation, which allows children to relax during their dental treatments
- General anesthesia, which is used for children who require more extensive or complicated procedures
- Special attention, which is designed for patients with behavioral problems or handicapping conditions
- Counsels and advises, which provides patients and families with information on growth and development dental problems
- Preventive services, which includes the use of fluorides and sealants and instructs patients and families on dental care
Our Focus on Prevention
At Peninsula Pediatric Dentistry, we believe that preventing dental problems is just as important as treating them. To prevent tooth decay, we make sure our patients receive optimum fluoride exposure and apply pit and fissure sealants when appropriate. We also demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques and assist patients and families in identifying foods that promote tooth decay.
Our Commitment to Your Child's Oral Health
At Peninsula Pediatric Dentistry, we are committed to providing your child with the best possible dental care. We believe that every child deserves a healthy, happy smile, and we are dedicated to helping them achieve it. If you have any questions or concerns about our services, we invite you to contact us.
