At Makiki Christian Church Preschool, we believe that every child is a unique gift from God and that they were created to learn, explore, and grow. Our Philosophy
Our preschool is based on the philosophy that children are active learners who thrive in a environment that provides stability and security, while also being challenging and new. We believe that children learn best when they are motivated to learn, encouraged to take risks, and supported in their efforts. We also believe that children learn to organize themselves and understand themselves by experiencing limits that are reasonable and predictable, and that consistent adult guidance helps them develop self-control.

Accreditation
We are proud to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a national organization that sets standards for early childhood education. Admissions
We welcome children ages 2-5 into our program. Admission requirements include a completed and current student's health record, birth date verification, and TB testing. We also require that children be toilet-trained by the first day of school, except for children enrolled in our 2-year-old program, who can wear pull-up diapers.
