Our Story

Maui Architectural Group was founded by Jim Niess, a visionary architect with a Master's degree from the University of Southern California, along with two other architects. Over the years, the firm has grown and evolved, with Jim's son, Peter Niess, joining the team and eventually assuming the role of Principal in Charge. With over four decades of experience, Maui Architectural Group has built a reputation for delivering high-quality designs, from luxury oceanfront homes to hi-tech genetic research facilities, boutique hotels, and historic preservation projects.
