Our History
Goolsby Mortuary was founded by Thomas D. Goolsby Jr., an Atlanta native who graduated from Washington High School. His passion for funeral service began after he obtained his funeral service provider license in 1966. Thomas was committed to providing quality professional services at reasonable prices, and his dedication and hard work helped establish Goolsby Mortuary as a trusted name in the funeral service industry. Lillie Goolsby, Thomas' wife, also played a significant role in the success of the mortuary. She was born and raised in Atlanta and graduated from Clark College. Since the mortuary's inception, Lillie served as the Lady Attendant, providing compassionate care and support to families during their time of need.
