Our Team

Carrie Nunnery, DVM

"Helping care for animals is my biggest passion. Pets are family, so my goal is to treat every pet as if they are my own."

Dr. Carrie Nunnery was born and raised in Summit. She is a graduate of Parklane Academy, Southwest Mississippi Community College, and Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She loves being able to help animals in need so she is very involved with multiple local animal shelters. She has several rescue dogs and cats and loves spending time with her family and friends. She also plays clarinet with the Ole Brook Wind Symphony and loves going to concerts and traveling.

Heather

"I love being able to care for animals especially the ones that need extra TLC. The best thing about my job is helping the most challenging cases improve and seeing them evolve into an entirely new and happy pet."

Heather has been Dr. Carrie's technician for the past 14 years, and has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years. She has a great love and compassion for animals - especially Boxers and their wiggly butts! Heather is great at helping owners understand the care needed for their beloved pet. She lives with two dogs both adopted from one of our local animal shelter and three cats who are rescues.

Denise Bates

"I've worked with the public for 6 years now and finally landed my dream job at Nunnery Veterinary Hospital! I intend to give our clients peace of mind when choosing our establishment and make them feel at home. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our clients happy and satisfied!''

Denise is happily working for Dr. Nunnery as a receptionist. She loves spending time with her family and friends, but especially her fur babies. She has an American Pit Bull mix named Kratos, an orange tabby named Loki, and most recently a black tabby named Athena. She enjoys working with Dr. Nunnery and her team since it's a great family environment and we're all dedicated to helping animals in need!

Caitie Cummins

"Working at Nunnery Vet has combined my two favorite things to do. Work with the public and animals. I have a lifelong love for animals and pets. Nothing makes me happier than making our clients feel at home and leave with a smile on their face."
