Our Story
Our founder, Dr. Thom Akins, grew up in the small town of Dublin, Georgia. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, he worked as an engineer at a paper mill for nearly seven years. He then decided to attend dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. During his pediatric dental residency in Augusta, he met his wife Anna, who has been by his side throughout his dental career.

Kitfox Pediatric Dentistry is proud to be located in Aiken, South Carolina, where Dr. Akins and Anna have chosen to raise their three children. As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Akins is specifically trained to understand the unique needs of children's dental health.
