Our Story
Our journey began when Dena Rooney's dad, Dennis Rooney, founded Rooney's Cameras in 1971, catering to the local community's photography needs. As a single dad, he took Dena on location shoots, and by the time she was 16, she was assisting him with school and sports events. With her father's blessing, Dena took over the business at 25, transitioning from film to digital photography. After almost 30 years of exclusively shooting on Hasselblad film cameras, Dena converted the company to Canon digital cameras in the late 1990s.
