Where the love of learning takes root
Our Philosophy
At Treasureland Preschool, we understand the importance of a relationship-based early childhood learning environment. We believe that play is a vital conduit for a child's exploration and discovery of their world. Our approach is founded on the principles of warmth, acceptance, and respect, which foster social competence, critical thinking, and creativity.
We provide a high-quality early childhood education experience that celebrates the power of play. Our experienced and dedicated staff intentionally plan a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum that guides children toward optimal developmental growth, independence, and social competence.
Our History
Treasureland Preschool was founded in 1956 as a ministry of Christ Church, recognizing the need for a nurturing and supportive environment for young children. Over the years, we have grown to accommodate the changing needs of families, evolving to include the Wee Treasures program serving toddlers and extending our program to a four-hour program in 2013.
Our Staff
Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a safe, joyful, and relational environment. They are devoted to building strong relationships with children, parents, and peers. Our teachers are well-trained and qualified, providing warmth and acceptance, and intuitively guiding preschool children toward independence, social competence, and critical thinking.
Our Programs
At Treasureland Preschool, we offer a range of programs designed to cater to the unique needs of each child. Our programs include Early Preschool, Three's Class, and Pre-K Class, each designed to provide a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate learning experience. Our programs focus on fostering social competence, critical thinking, and creativity through play-based learning.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a child-centered, relational learning environment that fosters optimal developmental growth, independence, and social competence. We are committed to supporting young children, staff, and families in a nurturing and respectful environment. We believe that children learn best through exploration, discovery, and play, and we strive to provide a safe, creative, and challenging environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
