About Our Mission
Born out of the spirit of progress following Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in 1968, New Horizons Cooperative Preschool stands as a testament to community and inclusivity. We celebrate the diverse backgrounds of our families by fostering a nurturing environment that celebrates culture, class, language, ethnicity, and individual expression.
Bilingual Learning Experience
Our bilingual program promotes cross-cultural understanding and language development. Half of our families speak Spanish as their first language, and all our activities are presented in both English and Spanish, creating a unique linguistic and cultural learning environment.
Cooperative Learning and Shared Responsibility
We embrace a cooperative model where parents are integral partners in their children's education. Volunteers actively contribute to the classroom environment, fostering a close connection to their children's daily routine. This collaborative approach results in a student-teacher ratio of 4 to 1, ensuring personalized attention and a strong sense of community.

At New Horizons, we value diversity in all its forms. Over half of our students speak Spanish as their first language, and over half come from immigrant families. Our Programs
We offer three class options, ranging from 2 to 5 days a week, catering to various schedules and needs. Each class boasts a maximum of 16 students and boasts a student-to-teacher ratio of 4 to 1, ensuring personalized attention.
