Our Leadership Team
Our leadership team is comprised of individuals with extensive experience in the construction industry. Our owner and president, Matt Bartels, has a degree in Building Science from Appalachian State University and has been working in the commercial construction field for many years. Our vice president of field operations, Xan Deaton, brings a unique perspective to our team with his diverse background both in and out of construction. Our controller, Cheryl Parrish, has worked in the construction office setting for the majority of her career and is passionate about making a positive impact in the local community. Our director of operations, Greg Trace, has over 30 years of experience in Charlotte-area construction and has held carpentry positions, managed multi-family projects, and supervised the construction of various commercial projects. Our division director of concrete, Roger Gerhardt, has over 20 years of experience in the concrete industry and has held various positions including sales director, CEO, and VP. Our project managers, Devin Shelton and Alex Sparrow, have extensive experience in construction, grading, clearing, and paving, and have managed projects from inception to completion. Our office manager, Susie Knebusch, has eight years of construction office experience and has served in various roles, including accounts payable and project assistant.
