History and Background
Our founder, Attorney Miguel Martinez, has had a long and distinguished career in law. Born in Mexico, Miguel immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 16. He went on to serve as a Field Medic in Vietnam during his time in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, he pursued his passion for law, graduating from the University of Houston with a degree in Latin American History and Literature. Miguel then attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and later graduated from the University of Texas Law School in Austin, earning his Juris Doctor degree.
Miguel began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in San Antonio and Galveston, Texas, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, in Houston. In 1989, he moved to Colorado, where he has been in private practice for over three decades.
