We offer a range of counseling services, including individual counseling, family counseling, Christian counseling, and marital counseling. Our experienced and licensed professional counselor, Thomas Donovan, has over 21 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor, licensed sex offender treatment provider, and licensed sex offender evaluator.
We specialize in a variety of treatment approaches, including trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), structured psychotherapy for adolescents responding to chronic stress (SPARCS), and psychological first aid (PFA). Our therapist is also certified in multiple treatment modalities, including Theraplay, Adlerian play therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
Our Specialties
We have experience working with clients who are struggling with a variety of issues, including faith issues, trauma issues, attachment issues, grief and loss issues, anxiety and depression issues, marital issues, family relational issues, and foster and adoption issues. We also have expertise in working with sex offenders and providing sex offender treatment and evaluation.
Our Fees
Our psychotherapy session lengths are typically 50-55 minutes, and our fees are as follows: $175 for individual counseling sessions, with a sliding scale fee available for certain situations. The initial psychotherapy intake session fee is $250. For sex offender treatment and evaluation, the fee is $1000. We also offer group counseling and trained in multiple treatment modalities.
Insurance and Payment
We are a preferred provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and accept various insurance plans. We also accept cash, check, and credit cards as forms of payment. Special arrangements can often be made upon request.
