Our dental practice was founded by Thad Kawakami-Wong, DDS, who has been practicing dentistry for over 35 years. After attending St. Ann's in Kaneohe, Thad went on to receive his degree in dental surgery from the University of the Pacific. He then returned to his hometown of Kaneohe to start his private practice with his wife, Cesili, in 1981. Thad is a respected member of the dental community, having served on the Board of Dental Examiners from 1989 to 1996 and as a commissioned Honolulu Police Officer from 1988 to 1999.

Joining Thad in the practice is his daughter, Dr. Hilari Kawakami-Wong, DDS. After growing up in the dental office and receiving her degree in Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine, Dr. Hilari went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery and a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of the Pacific. With a deep understanding of dental fear, Dr. Hilari treats each patient with the same care and attention she would want for herself. She is passionate about working with children and helping them develop good oral hygiene habits.
