Our Story
We became hoteliers by chance, but our passion for travel and providing unique experiences drove us to create The Hamlet. Our journey began with a vision to offer a different kind of accommodation, one that would cater to the engaged and active traveler seeking a more authentic experience. We chose to partner with Airbnb as our booking tool, allowing us to connect with guests who share our values and appreciate the local perspective.

Our History
Our building, constructed in 1906, has a rich history dating back to the early days of Bellingham. Originally the Cottage Bar and Hotel, the building has undergone various transformations over the years, including a stint as a neon lighting company in the 1940s. In 2005, we purchased the building, and after a significant renovation, we brought the second floor back to life as The Hamlet.
