Our History
Our story began in 1973, when brothers Leslie H. Miller and Lyle W. Miller built Cambridge Place Apartments. Both Les and Lyle were University of Iowa graduates who made Iowa City their home for many years. Les was an active member of Optimist International Club, a Civil Engineer, and owner of Coralville Products, a cement block plant. In his many years there, he designed and patented an improved block-making machine. Lyle was an active member of Lions Clubs International, owned Miller Lumberyard, and operated as a retired General Contractor, building many single-family homes and multifamily complexes in Iowa City.
