Empowering Young Minds, One Language at a Time
Our Vision
At Morningside Immersion, we envision a world where children are empowered to become confident, compassionate, and globally-minded thinkers and learners. We believe in the power of immersive language learning and play-based exploration to foster curiosity, resilience, and a love for discovery.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a unique and nurturing early childhood education experience that:
- Inspires multilingualism through Mandarin and Spanish immersion
- Fosters cognitive growth through play-based learning activities
- Cultivates a love for the natural world through outdoor exploration
- Inspires social-emotional development through positive relationships and social-emotional learning
- Equips young learners with the social, emotional, and cognitive tools they need to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world.
Our Story
Morningside Immersion arose from a deep respect for the unparalleled potential of young minds. Founder Gail Foster, a passionate educator and mother, was inspired by the transformative power of immersive learning and the importance of nurturing a love for the natural world in young children. Combining these values, Morningside Immersion was born.
Our Approach
Our curriculum is influenced by renowned educational philosophies like Waldorf education, the teachings of the Flying Deer Nature Center, and the founder's own experience in mindfulness and yoga. We prioritize:
- Immersive Language Learning: Engaging in authentic conversations and storytelling in both Mandarin and Spanish
- Play-Based Exploration: Encouraging discovery through hands-on, creative play activities
- Nature Connection: Regular excursions and outdoor learning experiences in local natural spaces
- Positive Social-Emotional Development: Cultivating social-emotional intelligence through group activities and respectful interactions
Join us on this journey of early childhood discovery and empower your child to achieve their full potential!
