Building a legacy, one home at a time.
At Loudoun Montessori School (LMS), our mission is to inspire children to have a love for learning, providing an environment where they can explore, create, learn, socialize, and celebrate their unique talents. We believe in the importance of offering safe and beautifully prepared classrooms, materials, and curriculum that promote the Montessori philosophy.
Our Teachers and Staff
Our lead teachers are qualified professionals who hold a college degree and an American Montessori Society certification. Each classroom has a certified teacher to direct the class and a trained assistant to work with her/him. Our classroom assistants are trained to handle many responsibilities, and staff members have additional training in areas of child development, discipline, and playground supervision. We encourage our staff to pursue additional training, and we require them to be trained yearly in CPR, First Aid, and Health Screening.
Our School Director and Head Teacher
Mrs. Renu has over 15 years of experience in Montessori teaching, with a background in traditional school. She received her Early Childhood Certification from Northern Virginia Montessori Institute in Ashburn in 2011. She holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's in Economics, as well as AMS Montessori Certification.
Mrs. Renu is co-owner and lead teacher at Loudoun Montessori School. She is passionate about educating students and helping them achieve their greatest potential. She believes that the key to a successful and nurturing school is having respectful, open, and honest communication among staff, students, and parents.
Our Philosophy
Our Montessori philosophy is built on the principles of self-directed learning, hands-on learning, and collaborative learning. We believe that children are naturally curious, and our role is to provide a supportive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking. Our teachers are trained to observe and guide the children, rather than dictate or lecture.
Our Commitment
At Loudoun Montessori School, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment that fosters independence, self-confidence, and a love for learning. We believe that education should be a collaborative effort between the child, the teacher, and the parent. We believe that children gain independence, learn to take responsibility for themselves, and care for others and the world they are a part of.
Our History
Loudoun Montessori School is a preschool childcare academy placed in Ashburn, Virginia. Our school is accredited by the Middle States Association, which has been approved by the Virginia Council for Private Education as authorized by the Virginia State Board of Education.
Get Involved
We encourage parents to be involved in their child's education and to participate in school activities and events. We believe that parent-teacher communication is essential to a child's successful learning. We invite parents to stay informed about their child's progress and to communicate with our teachers and staff.
