Transforming Your Online Presence, One Website at a Time
Welcome to Big and Tiny, a place where young minds learn, connect, create, share, and grow. Our ultimate goal is to support children aged 3 months to 5 years by cultivating a love for learning and developing the skills and foundation for a life of happiness and success. We achieve this by fostering emotional intelligence, analytical thinking, self-confidence, motivation, empathy, cultural competence, as well as early literacy and math skills.
Teaching Philosophy
Our teaching philosophy is rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, which is a child-centered method that supports students in thinking critically and emphasizes children's ability to construct their own knowledge through in-depth investigation and research. We believe in creating an environment where children can learn by doing and making decisions, thus boosting their curiosity and creativity.
Locations
Big and Tiny has two beautiful campuses, one in Battery Park, NY, and the other in Santa Monica, LA. Both campuses are an integrated learning community, bolstered by a common mission and vision, shared curriculum, and a highly passionate and experienced team of educators and teaching artists. We invite you to book a tour at either of our locations to experience our unique learning environment.
Education
We offer a comprehensive educational program for children from 3 months up to 5 years. Our classes are divided into several categories, including Infant, Twos, Toddlers, and Preschool. We also provide Weekend Enrichment programs for children to continue learning outside of regular school hours. Our curriculum is designed to support the development of the whole child, with a strong focus on social-emotional growth and academic readiness.
The infant program is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 12 months. Our Twos program focuses on language development, social-emotional growth, and independence. The Toddler program is designed to support children's developing autonomy, language, and cognitive skills. Finally, our Preschool program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
Community Building
At Big and Tiny, we aim to build a nurturing learning community for children, parents, and educators committed to learning and growing through a process of research and discovery. We believe in building connections among families, teachers, and the environment. Our community events, such as birthday parties and community gatherings, are opportunities for families to connect, share, and learn together.
