About Us
Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry was founded in April 2019 by Dr. Jill L. Garrido, a Board-Certified pediatric dentist with over 10 years of experience in Greater Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware. Our practice remains single-doctor owned, specialty-trained, and focused exclusively on the dental care of children from infants through teenagers. We take a personal, caring, and family-friendly approach to children's dentistry, and we welcome new patients and their families to experience our enhanced standard of pediatric dental care at our office located at 2000 Foulk Road, Suite C in North Wilmington.
Our Services
At Brandywine Pediatric Dentistry, we offer a full suite of preventative and corrective dental care for children, including:
- Child's first dental visit: We recommend that parents schedule their child's first dental visit by their first birthday or when their first tooth erupts. This visit helps to establish a dental home for your child and allows us to provide you with information on oral health care and fluoride needs.
- Preventative dentistry consultations: We provide preventative dentistry consultations to help parents and caregivers understand the importance of good oral hygiene and the role it plays in preventing dental problems.
- Teeth cleanings: Regular teeth cleanings help to remove plaque and tartar that can lead to dental problems. We recommend that children have their teeth cleaned every six months.
- X-rays: X-rays help us to detect any dental problems that cannot be seen with the naked eye. We only take X-rays when necessary and use the latest digital technology to minimize radiation exposure.
- Caries/cavities prevention and treatment: We provide caries/cavities prevention and treatment to help children maintain good oral health. We use the latest techniques and materials to provide minimally invasive and comfortable treatment.
- Fillings: We use tooth-colored fillings to restore teeth that have been damaged by caries/cavities.
- Crowns: We use crowns to restore teeth that have been severely damaged by caries/cavities or trauma.
- Extractions: We perform extractions when necessary to remove teeth that are beyond repair or to create space for orthodontic treatment.
Special Needs
We understand that some children require an enhanced level of care. Dr. Garrido also sees patients with special needs at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children and Christiana Care Health System.
