Licensing and Insurance Requirements for Minneapolis Electricians

Electricians working in the state of Minnesota are required to be licensed by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. There are three levels of licensing for Electricians: Apprentice Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, and Master Electrician. Sipma Electric, Inc. employs only Journeyman Electricians and a Master Electrician who oversees all electrical work being performed on a daily basis.

Additionally, all electrical contracting companies must be licensed as an electrical contractor in the state of Minnesota. This is designed to ensure customer safety and protection by requiring the licensed electrical company to maintain a minimum general liability insurance policy.
