Our Story

Before Block Fitness Co., our owner and founder, Joseph Hawthorne, owned the highest-ranking fitness studio in Pasadena, CA, Copper Moose Fitness. He closed the gym in December 2018 to move to Tucson and raise his son near family. He is excited, proud, and honored to bring his expertise to the community of Oro Valley with this new brand and state-of-the-art facility. Our Fitness Philosophy

Our focus is on you! We believe in strength training for people of all ages, and our programs are designed to help you reach your fitness goals. Our fitness philosophy is centered around the building blocks of fitness: mobility, strength, power, conditioning, and stamina. We offer personalized workout plans, small group personal training, and group exercise classes to help you achieve your goals. Our guarantee is that you'll always have a coach, a 100% customized training program, and flexible scheduling.

  • Personal Training: Indulge in the advantages of a personalized one-on-one fitness session tailored exclusively for your body, needs, and aspirations.
  • Semi-Private Training: Experience personalized group fitness with our 1 Coach to 5 Client ratio sessions, blending individualized workouts with community energy.
  • Small Group Training: Discover an energetic and adaptable workout in our small group training sessions, capped at 15 people.
  • Athlete Performance: With a rich history of training numerous youth athletes, we proudly spearhead the strength and conditioning programs for CDO Basketball and Ironwood Ridge Soccer.
  • Nutrition Coaching: Recognizing the pivotal role of nutrition in reaching fitness milestones, we offer a tailored Nutrition Coaching program in Oro Valley.
