Meet Our Staff

At Upstate Dermatology, our dedicated team of professionals includes Dr. John B. Korman and Vlad Abaturov, MSN, RN, FNP-C.

*Dr. John B. Korman, MD, FAAD*: A South Carolina native, Dr. Korman completed his medical education at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and underwent dermatology training at the prestigious Harvard Medical School's combined training program. Dr. Korman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and has published scholarly work in leading medical journals. Following his residency, he provided dermatology services for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System prior to transitioning to private practice. Dr. Korman currently resides in Greer with his loving wife, four sons, and daughter.

*Vlad Abaturov, MSN, RN, FNP-C*: Born in present-day Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan, Vlad attended North Kazakhstan University before immigrating to the United States. He holds a Master of Science in Nursing and specializes as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With extensive experience in dermatology, Vlad provides invaluable care and support to our patients at Upstate Dermatology.
