Our Family History in San Diego

Our family has a long and rich history in San Diego, dating back to the 1800s. Albert Jones moved from Wales to Mexico to develop the railroad industry, and eventually settled in San Diego in 1882. Along with his son, H.G. Jones, Sr., they invested in real estate, buying up lots, buildings, and houses in areas now known as the Gaslamp, Mission Beach, Bankers' Hill, and Point Loma. H.G. Jones, Sr. went on to found the oldest existing company in the city.

The Idea Behind ShoreView Real Estate

The idea for ShoreView Real Estate was born out of a family meeting. The older generation of our family returned to Southern California from Sun Valley, Idaho, and began looking for homes to be closer to their grandson, the fourth generation to be born in San Diego. They became dissatisfied with the way many real estate professionals assisted clients, and the thought arose, "Why can't a real estate broker be a trusted advisor?" This led to the creation of ShoreView Real Estate, a company that focuses on providing the best and most professional service possible, rather than relying on sales pitches and gimmicks.
