Dr. Child, a native of Lexington, KY, attended the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry and Indiana University School of Dentistry. He also served his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard, retiring after 20 years of service.

Dr. Child's commitment to his patients extends beyond his clinic. He has been involved in humanitarian efforts, such as the New Horizon Guyana 1997, a medical civil assistance program where he worked as a dentist with the United States Army National Guard and local community leaders.
