Our Story

At Wolfden Brewing Company, we're passionate about crafting delicious beer and creating a cozy and welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy it. Our story began with a shared passion for creativity, beer, and community. Katie Wolf, with her background in fashion and jewelry design, and Krystov Wolf, with his experience in sculpture, technology, and home brewing, came together to design and build a unique brewery that would bring people together. With the help of their family and the craft beer community, they brought their vision to life, and Wolfden Brewing Company opened its doors on August 11th, 2018.

Our Haunted Taproom

Our historic building, built in 1851, has a rich history that's steeped in mystery and intrigue. We're proud to be known as the most haunted brewery in Illinois, and our resident spirit, Jack, is always up to something mischievous. From unexplained noises and movements to ghostly apparitions, our taproom is a hotbed of paranormal activity. But don't worry, our staff is used to it, and we're sure you'll have a howling good time when you visit us.
