Frank's Story

Frank's Place has a rich history that dates back to May of 1968 when Frank and Joann Cerminaro opened a classic "Mom & Pop Tavern" in Simpson, PA. Serving the basics: beer, whisky, and good food, Frank was behind the bar, and Joann was in the kitchen. Most of the food served was Joann's family recipes, many of which are still used today.

Despite the locals' skepticism, Frank and Joann persevered, and their tavern became a beloved institution in Simpson. As a family, they lived above the Tavern for 35 years, instilling in their sons a deep love and appreciation for the business.

In the spring of 1988, Frank was faced with cancer and asked his son for help. After winning his first battle with cancer, Frank went into remission that winter, but the next spring, he and Joann traveled for a few weeks around the country. Frank's son helped out for the summer, and from that point on, he never left. Soon, Frank made his son a partner, and they began to expand the menu and the size of the kitchen.

In May of 1993, Frank lost his battle with cancer. His son and wife continue to carry on the legacy of Frank's Place, honoring their father's memory and the traditions he established.

Our Menu

Our menu offers something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for appetizers, salads, pizza, wings, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, seafood, Italian favorites, or special diet options, we've got you covered. Our dishes are made with only the freshest ingredients, and we take pride in the quality of our work.

One of our most popular dishes is the Seafood Fra Diavolo, a harmonious blend of seafood and spicy tomato sauce served over pasta. Another customer favorite is the Chicken Francaise, a breaded chicken cutlet served with a lemon butter sauce. Our Basil Cream Tortellini is also a hit, made with fresh tortellini, basil, and cream.

At Frank's Place, we offer flexible catering options to suit your needs, whether you're hosting an event on-site or off-site. From corporate events to weddings, we'll work with you to create a menu that fits your needs and exceeds your expectations.

We also host private parties in our dining room or bar area. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion, we'll work with you to create a memorable experience for you and your guests.
