Our Leader

Laurie J. Batter is the founder and leader of the BatterUp! team. Named "Power Publicist" by Aquatics International, Laurie was also twice named one of the Top 25 Industry People to Watch. She earned the Eagle Award for outstanding contribution to the Hot Water Industry. Batter was named to The Who's Who in Aquatic Leadership in the United States by the USFWA. Laurie is a past chairperson of the APSP Hot Tub Council. She served on the California Barrier Code Ad Hoc Committee and the Committee for Every American a Swimmer for Life. Laurie, herself, swims nearly a mile every day and sometimes for charity. She has served on editorial advisory boards of industry publications, and has frequently contributed to the trade and consumer press. Excited about the organizations and products she markets, Laurie brings her passion for water to everything she touches.
