Wilson's Funeral Home

Wilson's Funeral Home has a rich history that spans over 75 years of serving the families of Southern Illinois with care and compassion. Our story begins in 1946 when Bernard Harrison Wilson started the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, Illinois. In 1947, Bernard married Norma Lee Giffin, and together they worked tirelessly to serve the families in the surrounding area for many years.

Over the years, the funeral home has undergone several expansions and changes to meet the evolving needs of our community. In 1964, Bernard and Norma started the Wilson's Funeral Home in Campbell Hill, and in 1977, they started the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. In March of 1992, they started the Wilson's Funeral Home in Sparta, Tilden, Willisville, and Coulterville. Tragically, Bernard passed away shortly after, and Norma followed him in July of 1993.

Today, the funeral home is managed by William Lee Wilson, Bernard's son, along with Carlos J. Barbour, Aaron L. Wilson, and Amy L. Wilson-Dallas. Our staff is dedicated to providing compassionate and professional services to families in their time of need.
