WT Tax Accounting is an IRS Enrolled Agent providing tax planning, tax preparation, and basic accounting services. While we are based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and regularly serve Arizona-based clients, we also work with clients from all over the country. As an enrolled agent, we have unlimited practice rights, enabling us to represent any taxpayer before the IRS, handle various tax matters, and represent clients before any IRS office. Enrolled agents must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Meet Marina

Marina Karpoukhina, our Senior Tax Manager, was born and raised in Ukraine, a former republic of the Soviet Union. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Kiev State University and a doctorate in Neurophysiology from the USSR Academy of Science. After working as a research scientist for over 20 years, including a unique research experience investigating the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, Marina was invited to the United States as a visiting research scientist. In 1996, she decided to retrain herself in taxation, accounting, and bookkeeping. Today, she is an integral part of our team, having returned to school to earn a two-year Associates Degree in Computerized Accounting, Payroll, and Bookkeeping in just six months.
