Heritage Architecture

At Heritage Architecture, we are a passionate and innovative practice committed to designing sustainable, affordable, and high-performance buildings that revitalize communities and promote social equity. Our team of 18 talented architects and engineers, all LEED-accredited, has been serving the New York City area and northern New Jersey since 1999. Our unique approach sets us apart by providing easy access to our team, flexibility, and direct involvement from our principals throughout the design process.

Expert Services

We offer a range of expert services, including architecture, interior design, planning, and urban revitalization. Our team is equipped to handle projects of all scales and complexities, from mixed-use developments to single-family homes. We have extensive experience in designing educational facilities, from K-12 schools to higher education campuses, as well as commercial and civic buildings.

Some of our notable projects include PS 63Q - School District 27, Abington Ave Elementary School, PS 158K - School District 19, IS 322X - School District 11, Malcolm X. Shabazz High School, PS 52K - District 22, PS 165M Robert E Simon & Mott Hall II, PS 192K - The Magnet School for Math & Science Inquiry, and HS 480Q John Adams High School. We have also worked on public projects for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission's Administrative Building and have achieved LEED (CI) Certification & Green Interior.

Team

Our team is led by Principal Summer Alhamash, AIA, and includes talented architects George Catechis, Hashim Ajlouni, AIA, and Steven Zmuda, AIA, among others. We are a tight-knit team that values collaboration, innovation, and attention to detail.
