Our History

Southwest Mississippi Community College has a rich history of providing quality education to the community. Located about one mile east of Summit, Mississippi, our campus is spread across 60 acres of natural beauty, with an abundance of shade trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. Our campus combines the beauty and quietness of the country with the conveniences of the town of Summit and the larger city of McComb, just four miles to the south.
