My journey into chiropractic care was not a straight path but a winding road filled with significant events that eventually led me to my life's passion. As an 18-year-old naval recruit on leave, I was involved in a severe car accident that left me with a debilitating neck injury. My future in the Navy was at stake, and I was desperate for a solution. That was when my parents reintroduced me to Dr. Skelton, the chiropractor who had been treating my younger sister, Becky, for her severe scoliosis.
To my amazement, Becky was not only thriving but also living an active life, free from the limitations that typically accompany scoliosis. I was astonished to learn that Dr. Skelton had been providing chiropractic care to Becky for years, keeping her condition under control and ensuring that she never felt different from her peers. Moreover, Dr. Skelton had never turned my family away, even during financially challenging times. It was at that moment that I realized the power of chiropractic care and its potential to change lives, including mine.
