Camp Hidden Meadows

Nestled in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia, Camp Hidden Meadows offers an all-gender overnight camp experience that is unmatched. Since our inception, we have provided 1- and 2-week sessions for campers aged 7-17, allowing them to build community, foster independence, create lasting friendships, and build a repository of unforgettable memories.

Programs and Activities

Our programs are rooted in our mission to empower every child to shape their own adventure, explore beyond their comfort zone, and create lifelong connections. We recognize that every summer is unique, and our community offers a safe and supportive environment that gives kids the confidence to set their own path. At Camp Hidden Meadows, tech-free surroundings offer a welcomed respite from the pressures of daily life and the endless notifications that come with it. Our time-honored activities include:

• Rock Climbing: Our rock climbing program emphasizes safety, skill-building, and fun for all skill levels. Campers will learn the fundamentals of climbing, including knot-tying, belaying, and climbing techniques.
• Nature Exploration: Our nature program provides campers with an immersive experience in the great outdoors. We teach campers the importance of sustainability, wildlife conservation, and respect for the natural world.
• Art Camp: Our art program is designed to foster creativity, self-expression, and imagination. We offer a wide range of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking.

Cabin Life and Staff

Our cabins are designed to foster a sense of community, with bunks that sleep 8-12 campers. Each cabin has a designated cabin counselor who lives with the campers, providing supervision, guidance, and support. Our staff consists of college students and young adults who are carefully selected for their experience, professionalism, and commitment to our mission and values. We prioritize safety, ensuring that all staff undergo background checks and extensive training before the start of the camp season.

Location and Setting

Hidden Meadows is situated on 250 acres of beautiful, pristine wilderness in West Virginia. Our setting is a perfect blend of adventure and comfort, allowing campers to unplug, connect with nature, and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Appalachian Mountains. We are located in Bartow, WV, about three hours from Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh.
