History

Our story began in 2007 when Ray Raber founded ER Autocare as a part-time job after moving to Columbus from Apple Creek, Ohio. Initially, we repaired a wide range of vehicles, from cars and lawn mowers to tractors, semi-trucks, and combines. Word-of-mouth advertising helped our business grow quickly, and by 2008, we were busy enough to bring in Eric Raber, Ray's son, as a technician. Eric had a diverse background, having worked at a local Ford dealership, a trucking company, and as a laborer for a concrete crew. By 2012, we had outgrown our small farm shop and moved to a new location, doubling our business by the end of the year.

Mission

As the business continued to grow, we added new team members, including Brent Raber, Ray's youngest child, who joined us as our first service advisor in 2013. Eric took on a full-time management role, focusing on improving shop operations. In 2018, Eric purchased the business from Ray and began implementing growth strategies. We opened our second location in Upper Arlington in 2021 and have since expanded to four locations in 2023, with more growth planned for 2024.
