Buffington Optometry Vision

Welcome to Buffington Optometry, LLC, where we are dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Our experienced optometrist, Dr. Kate Buffington, specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of vision problems, including learning-related vision issues, eye diseases, and visual rehabilitation for patients with special needs. We have locations in Woodruff and Wausau, Wisconsin, and proudly serve surrounding communities.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services, including comprehensive eye examinations for infants, preschoolers, and seniors. Our exams include tests to detect cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other diseases of the eyes. We also provide glasses dispensing and repair, contact lens fitting and dispensing, and treatment for eye diseases and co-management of surgery. Additionally, we offer laser vision correction consultation and vision therapy for all ages.

Vision Therapy

Vision therapy is an individualized, supervised treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies. This program includes procedures designed to enhance the brain's ability to control movement and can be beneficial for conditions such as lazy eye, eye turns, focusing problems, and visual-perceptual deficits.

Learning-Related Vision Problems

We specialize in treating learning-related vision problems, including ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, reading and tracking problems, and binocular vision conditions like amblyopia or lazy eye, convergence insufficiency, diplopia, and strabismus. Our treatment options also extend to stress-related visual problems and visual rehabilitation for patients with special needs, such as developmental delays or traumatic brain injury.

Sports Vision Correction

For athletes, we offer sports vision correction and improvement services, focusing on depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and tracking. Our goal is to enhance your performance and reduce the risk of injury.
