Our Story

Stilian Electric, Inc. has been providing top-notch services to our clients since our inception in June 1979. As a full-service, merit shop electrical contractor, we serve Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, focusing primarily on commercial and industrial accounts. Over the past four decades, we have earned a reputation for high-quality workmanship and outstanding service.

Our company has been involved in the electrical construction of office buildings, factories, schools, hospitals, and laboratories across Massachusetts, as well as in southern New Hampshire, Vermont, Cuba, and Hawaii. For over forty years, we have been designing, fabricating, installing, and servicing process control systems for various industries. From our office in Methuen, MA, we offer estimating, project management, and design-build services to our clients.

We possess the latest versions of estimating software, as well as AutoCAD software, plotting, and electronic document transfer options. This allows us to assist our clients in any design-build or drafting tasks without delay. Our fully trained staff consists of licensed electricians, apprentices, and fire alarm technicians. Many of our employees have been employed with Stilian Electric for thirty to over forty years, and we are constantly looking for the best and brightest talent the industry has to offer.

Our Team

At Stilian Electric, we pride ourselves on our dedicated team of professionals who work tirelessly to ensure that our clients receive the best service possible. Our team is led by James N. Stilian, the founder and president of the company. Jim has been instrumental in building the company into a mid-sized electrical construction firm with a reputation for quality work. He takes great pride in not only the quality of the finished product but also in never missing a deadline in over forty years of business.

Diane J. Stilian serves as the Vice President and handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, health insurance, company benefits, certificates of insurance, and all other administrative tasks. John M. Dunbar, our Vice President of Fire Alarm, joined the company in January 2001 and has been instrumental in growing our fire alarm customer base. He holds certifications with Notifier Fire Alarm Systems and holds electrical licenses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Paul A. Soule, our Vice President of Construction, began his career with SEI in 2001 as a job site foreman and fire alarm technician. He now oversees estimating and project management and has worked with notable customers such as MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Verizon Communications, Lesley University, and Harvard University Real Estate.

Ronald S. Russell serves as our Safety Officer and is a licensed electrician. He maintains information and records on company safety policies, MSDS sheets, and PPE and tool maintenance.
