PHD Hotels Inc. was founded in 1998 by Tom Hunt, with its headquarters located in the Opelika-Auburn area of Alabama. As a hotel development and management company, we focus on building high-quality Hilton and Marriott brand hotels. At PHD Hotels, we take pride in encouraging and caring for our team members while focusing on guest satisfaction, ensuring an exceptional return for those who have entrusted us with their investment.

We have developed a unique approach to our business, limiting our management to only the properties we develop. This "hands-on" approach allows us to create value for our investors by developing a top brand, growing the business to a stabilized operating level within a few years, and eventually attracting qualified national and regional buyers.

Since our inception, PHD Hotels has developed 20 hotels, successfully selling 14 of them. Along the way, the company and its individual properties have won numerous top awards within the Hilton and Marriott systems, including the Hilton Multi-Brand Developer of the Year, Hilton Garden Inn Owner of the Year, and the Marriott TownePlace Suites Diamond Circle Award.
