In 2004, Mike decided to launch his own practice to better serve clients from all walks of life.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mike is also active in community affairs. He has served as President of the Friends of the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Inc., and is currently on the Board of both the Friends of the Torpedo Factory Art Center and the Jane Franklin Dance Company. Mike is past President of the Arlington Business and Civic Circle (www.abcc.biz), an organization in which Northern Virginia business professionals help each other as well as the community at large. He has also volunteered for the Whitman-Walker Clinic and serves as legal counsel to the Alexandria Gay & Lesbian Community Association.
