Our Story

Bruce Johnson Construction has been a trusted name in North Florida home building for over 35 years. Our journey began in the early 1980s with Bruce Johnson, a passionate builder with a lifelong love for the Florida coast. Holding a Florida Residential Contractor's license since 1980, Bruce built his reputation by delivering high-quality homes to the Tallahassee community. His heart, however, always yearned for the shores of the Forgotten Coast. In 1983, that passion led him to build his first custom beach home in St. Teresa.

Bruce's childhood memories of spending summers at his grandparents' beach house on St. Teresa Beach ignited a deep-seated desire to build homes in this idyllic setting. The serene beauty and laid-back lifestyle of the Gulf Coast resonated with him, and he envisioned crafting dream homes that captured the essence of this special place.

In 1997, Bruce and his family made the move to the Forgotten Coast, establishing their business as a cornerstone of the local community. Serving Franklin, Wakulla, Gulf, and Leon counties, Bruce Johnson Construction became known for its unwavering commitment to excellence, building lasting relationships with clients and becoming one of the most respected home builders in the region.
